We want to share Jeff’s story. Jeff is 65 and had been living in his flat for 12 years with no problems. But recently, he was shocked to get a notice asking him to leave by the end of April. Feeling anxious and confused, Jeff came to us for help.
Our team worked with Jeff to understand his situation and helped him sort out the paperwork and applications he needed to find a new home. Jeff wasn’t sure how to use computers or how to get the documents he needed, so we supported him every step of the way.
After seven weeks, Jeff was offered a bungalow in an area he knows and close to his partner. The new home is better for him financially because it’s social housing, so he won’t have to pay extra rent. He also knows he’ll get repairs and support when he needs it.
Jeff told us, “I can’t believe how quickly things have changed. I’m so grateful for the support — it’s made a huge difference to my life.”
